As Julia Roberts knows, bikini season is no time to slack off on your diet, but that doesn’t mean you need to deprive yourself of tasty treats either. So for a savory summertime snack Julia, 43, and her three kids devour homemade kale chips.
Julia’s trainer and nutrition expert Kathy Kaehler shares the recipe for the star’s favorite snack, exclusively with In Touch.
Kale Chip recipe:
Pre-heat your oven to 350°.
Wash 2 bunches of kale and rip the leaves from the stems and tear into bite-sized pieces (the kale shrinks, so purchase enough if you have 4 or more people).
Place the leaves onto a cookie sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Add a dash of sea salt – really, just a dash.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350°. The kale will crisp up and get crunchy – just like a chip – and will be simply delicious!
Bonus tip: To really rev up your healthy summer lifestyle like a star, try SoulCycle. Katie Holmes, Kelly Ripa and Brooke Shields are obsessed with the 45-minute cycling session.
