Matthew McConaughey may have dropped 40 lbs. for his role as an AIDS victim in The Dallas Buyer's Club, but that doesn’t mean the man isn’t starving!
In a recent interview, the 43-year-old actor admits that he plans to dig into a giant po-boy once filming concludes. If that's not available, he’ll settle for a burger… a very specific burger.
“I will have some 70 percent beef, 30 percent fat ground beef, maybe a half pound cheeseburger with another three types of cheese,” he admits of the burger he’s been craving. “I'll prepare it all and I'll make sure that it takes three hours just to prepare. I'm going to have buns with butter on both sides, toasted and grilled. I'm going to melt the cheese on the top bun, Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise. I want kosher dill pickles sliced nice and thin, diced white onions, slightly grilled until they get almost hard, and some thin jalapeno slices. And then I'm just going to sit back and let the [expletive] just drop on the ground.”
So is he still just as hungry as he used to be?
“Oh, yeah,” Matthew admits. “As much as I can't wait to have that cheeseburger on the day [shooting ends], it'll probably be damn hard to eat the whole thing. Your organs shrink [and] my stomach has shrunk as well.”
While the Magic Mike star works closely with a doctor to monitor his health as the world watches on in awe, the skinny Texan assures us he’s just fine.
“I feel pretty good,” he admits to In Touch, adding, “though not as strong.”
