The Brown family is getting a new addition! Sister Wives star Logan Brown popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Michelle Petty and now they're engaged. Logan's parents Kody Brown and Janelle Brown shared their excitement over their oldest son's engagement and Logan also dished about the details about his proposal.

"Unfortunately nothing in my elaborate plan had successfully gone through," Logan explained to TLC. "So in desperation, I found the prettiest view of the Colorado River, Congress Bridge. We walked out to the middle of the bridge and then I popped the question!"

Logan, 23, presented Michelle with a pear-shaped stone set in a rose gold band and she took to Instagram to reveal that she and Logan plan to have a long engagement because they want to have time to finish their Master's Degrees while saving for their wedding, and they also want to be able to "truly enjoy" being engaged. "[We] are excited to continue this beautiful life we have created," she wrote.

The couple has been dating for five years and in a video announcement, Logan's mom Janelle told TLC cameras that she had hoped her son would take the next step in his relationship with Michelle. “I was kind of getting worried cause I’m pretty attached to Michelle — I was getting a little bit worried that Logan would let her slip away so I’m glad to see some commitment here," Janelle said.

Both Janelle and Kody were so excited about Logan's engagement and they gushed over the fact that Logan and Michelle are made for each other. “Logan is sometimes high-strung and Michelle knows how to calm him down and get him to ease into it,” Kody said, and Janelle explained, "but on the flipside, she says the same thing, so they're a perfect match." Congrats to the happy couple!
