“Most people don’t know I invented the selfie,” he told Jimmy, who was instantly cracking up.

And that’s not all he invented! As it turns out, Sir Paul, 71, also invented the photobomb! Who knew?!

In 1999, Guinness World Records named the musician “the most successful composer and recording artist of all time,” plus he was knighted by the queen, won the Gershwin prize and 17 Grammys and he’s a freakin’ Beatle! … but we’re going to say that the selfie may be his biggest accomplishment to date. 

After all, without him, we may not have had all of these glamour shots!
