R&B singer Angie Stone was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on Tuesday, March 9, after she got into a fight with her daughter at her Lithonia, Ga., home a day prior.
Officials tell a local news station that her 30-year-old daughter Diamond says her mother, 53, came into her room, demanding she clean up her space and control her children, who were running around the house half-naked.

The altercation then became physical, according to the incident report. Diamond claims not to remember who lashed out first, but alleges the singer struck her with a metal stand, knocking out several teeth. She also insists she did not fight back, and instead walked away.
The three-time Grammy nominee tells police she “did not realize” she had hit her daughter at first, but “she quickly put the stand down and attempted to get away,” once she had a full grasp on the situation, the report states.

Angie — best known for her 2001 hit, ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You,’ and, most recently, appearing on the reality show ‘R&B Divas Atlanta’ — was booked at a DeKalb County, Ga., jail and has since been released.
Diamond was not charged in relation to the incident.
