Fans and relatives of Sinead O’Connor were given quite the scare when the singer, 48, posted a suicide note on Facebook claiming she overdosed early Sunday, Nov. 29.
According to Us Weekly, a spokesperson with authorities in Dublin said the songstress is “safe and well” after the cops received “several calls” alerting them of the post in which she claimed, “The last two nights have finished me off. I have taken an overdose.”

Apparently the troubled “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer blamed her family for “abandoning” her following a hysterectomy in August.
In a follow-up post, she put her family on blast — calling them “child-stealing murderers” — and declaring that they are “dead to [her].”
TMZ reports Sinead is getting medical attention following her alleged overdose.
As Us Weekly notes, this isn’t her first suicide attempt. She previously confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she attempted to take her own life on her 33rd birthday.
Hopefully the singer is healing and getting the help she needs.
