'Dancing With The
Stars': 'It Meant
Everything To Me'

Shawn Johnson may be a fan favorite on Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars, but her biggest fans are America’s favorite gymnasts!

The 2012 gold-medal winning women’s gymnastics team, including Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, McKayla Maroney and Kyla Ross, joined fellow Olympian Shawn for her last freestyle dance on the Nov. 26 episode of DTWS.

“It meant everything to me to have them here,” Shawn tells In Touch. “I trained three years with them to be on the biggest stage in the world with them.”

And while Shawn was forced to retire after a knee injury kept her from competing in this year’s London games, the Dancing finalist is grateful that her teammates haven’t forgotten about her.

“Seeing as how I didn't get the comeback I wanted, this is bigger than I could ever have imagined,” Shawn tells In Touch. “After they already went there and were successful and became the Fierce Five, they took time to come out and support me.”

But it wasn’t only Shawn who was moved by the visit from "The Fierce Five." Shawn’s partner Derek Hough was also touched by the interaction and sentiment between old friends.

“Even though the routine was like 'Boom, in your face, and pow-pow, and we got the girls coming out and this and that,' but the moment, the underlying thing happening here was really soft moment,” Derek admits. “That for me was amazing to be able to bring and be a part of – because obviously these girls have history and it's amazing.”

So would Shawn and Derek advise The Fierce Five to do DWTS?

“Of course! I think they learned in the past two days it's a lot more work than you think, but they would be amazing,” Shawn admits, with Derek adding, “They would be fantastic. It would be a lot of fun.”
