America’s Got Talent is trading one lovely Brit for another!
Former Spice Girl, Melanie Brown a.k.a. “Mel B,” is set to replace Sharon Osbourne on the hit NBC competition show, joining Howie Mandel and Howard Stern at the judge’s table for the program’s eighth season.
But this isn’t Scary Spice’s first rodeo with reality TV! The singer formerly competed on the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars. She also hosted the Australian version of the dancing show and served on the judging panel of the Australian version of The X-Factor.
Fans have been eager to hear who will replace Sharon ever since the Osbourne matriarch announced she was leaving the NBC show in Aug. 2012 after a dispute with the network. “I'm going to be sixty in October. So I'm at the age where I really want to work with people who I want to,” Sharon said of her leave. “And I felt that the network were not gracious."
Drama aside, we can’t wait for the new season of AGT to start up again on May 28, and maybe...just maybe... Mel B. will use her Spice Girl powers for another reunion performance on the show!
Do you think Scary Spice will make a good judge? Will you watch season eight of Talent?
