Next season, The Voice will get some new voices!

NBC has confirmed that this spring, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will temporarily vacate their judge’s chairs on The Voice to make room for Latin singer Shakira and R&B star Usher. This will allow the veteran “coaches” to take a much-needed hiatus for new projects and tours.

“Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans.”

Though Christina and Cee Lo will return to the show next fall, the sexy new additions are sure to spice things up in the meantime. “We’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold,” Burnett said.

So are we, Mark. So are we.
