While producers mean well when they try to reboot a beloved TV series, more often than not, their efforts simply result in something that falls short of the original. One thing's for sure, we're perfectly happy watching reruns of the classics than their sub-par remakes!
While the remake of the classic 90s sitcom has yet to make its way to our television screens, we're already slightly skeptical (starting with the title!). Only time will tell if John Stamos manages to make this work!
While the 'Sex and the City' prequel received mixed reviews from critics, we're not entirely convinced. After all, it's pretty hard to top Sarah Jessica Parker and the girls' performances (from the fashion to all the steamy hook-ups) in the original series run!
The 2009 remake of the 90s classic of the same name had the formula for success — from a gorgeous cast to returning members from the original series (Heather Locklear anyone?). Nevertheless, it still fell short of that "guilty pleasure" status that the original nailed so well.
The 70s original TV series inspired the film remake starring Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu (which we loved), but the 2011 TV remake was just awful. Sub-par action sequences and mismatched casting were just some of the reasons why the show failed after only four episodes!
When the likes of David Hasselhoff is who carried the original series through its run in the 80s, you just KNOW that no one else will be able to top that effort.
