On Aug. 30, Selena Gomez cancelled her Revival Tour to focus on getting healthy. In Touch has learned that her unhealthy relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber is the reason why.

While her struggle with Lupus — an autoimmune disease that occurs when the body’s system attacks its own tissues and organs — is at the core of her issues, her constant partying and unstable relationship with her ex only make things worse.

Following news of Justin’s relationship with Sofia Richie, 18, Sel “had a meltdown,” a source tells In Touch exclusively.

Justin, 22, tried his best to not let his ex-girlfriend interfere with his new relationship, but that only made things worse for Selena.

“The more he ignored her, the more she freaked out,” the source adds.

But now, even those closest to Justin are hoping the 24-year-old takes care of herself — and gets better once and for all.

“Justin and his family are praying that she gets the help she needs,” a source close to the “Sorry” singer tells In Touch. “They just want Selena to get well.”
