Even before Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard tied the knot, it was clear they were soul mates—as they were already finishing each other’s sentences!
“So we’re here at our rehearsal dinner,” Derick says in a new video released by TLC, thanking 19 Kids and Counting fans for their support. “And we’re so excited that this time tomorrow we’ll be—“
“Husband and wife!” Jill exclaims, finishing his thought.
The newlyweds tied the knot in front of 1,000 guests, who were served more than 600 cupcakes, 3,000 chocolate-chip cookies and 3,000 root-beer floats, People reports.
Among the guests were more than 100 immediate family members—including her siblings, many of whom got to play a role in the wedding party.
The voices of the massive crowd were heard when the new Mr. and Mrs. Derick Dillard left the Arkansas reception in a vintage pick-up with “Just Married” printed on the back, and the crowd began to chant “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”
And the newlyweds, who saved their first kiss for the wedding day, happily obliged.
Even though she now gets to kiss Derick whenever she wants, Jill doesn’t have any regrets about not doing it sooner.
“It was worth the wait,” she gushed.
