At this year’s Grammy Awards, today’s top artists got the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share the stage with some music’s biggest legends.
Collaborations such as Sara Bareilles with Carole King, Robin Thicke with Chicago and Blake Shelton with Willie Nelson, Kris Kirstofferson and Merle Haggard had Hollywood buzzing weeks before the award show, but it was the performance by Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder and Nile Rodgers that undoubtedly stole the show.
Unfortunately, fans were disappointed with the performance of “Get Lucky”—as the cameras spent more time gathering reaction shots from the star-studded audience than it did focusing on the epic collaboration going on onstage.
Seriously, music’s biggest names—like Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Ringo Starr—couldn’t help but bust a move when Daft Punk and friends took the stage.
Luckily, footage of the rehearsal performance has surfaced, thanks to the Internet sleuths on reddit.
Not only does it provide better audio (not that we blame Hollywood for singing along with this Record of the Year winner), but it also features solely on the artists—and the history-making music moment unfolding onstage.
