In Touch called it!
Nearly two weeks after reporting that Sean Lowe would join Dancing With the Stars, The Bachelor has confirmed the news himself!
“I am so tired of keeping secrets, but now they’re all out,” the newly-engaged 29-year-old revealed on Good Morning America this morning, March 12.
Just hours before his Dancing reveal, Sean got down on bended knee and proposed to Catherine Giudici during The Bachelor's season finale.
“When we have our big day, hopefully I’ll make her proud…I won’t make a fool of myself on the dance floor,” Sean said about what he hopes to take from his time on the hit ABC competition. Thankfully, Catherine added that she'll be her man's "biggest cheerleader," and that she's looking forward to practicing with him.
And to welcome him to the DWTS family, the competition show has revealed Sean’s official Dancing With the Stars portrait [see above]. The born-again Bachelor poses with partner Peta Murgatroyd – who won season 14 with Donald Driver – and, naturally, holds a rose with his teeth.
“He says he’s nervous,” a show source dished to In Touch about Sean’s new venture, “and moved to LA full-time to begin rehearsals.”
Let’s just hope he fares better than the only other previous Bachelor-turned-Dancing cast member, Jake Pavelka, who finished the competition in seventh place.
Sean will compete against the likes of Kellie Pickler, Lisa Vanderpump and Andy Dick for the season 16 Mirror Ball trophy. Be sure to check out Sean’s fancy footwork during the season premiere on Monday, March 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
