From cruel intentions to drool inventions!
Even for an accomplished actress like Sarah Michelle Gellar, playing twin sisters — one of whom is pretending to be the other — on her new drama, Ringer, can be quite daunting. "It's almost like playing three characters — Bridget, Siobhan... and Sio-bet. You have to remember during the day when you're which one," Sarah explains to In Touch. "It does get a little challenging."
Fortunately, working mom Sarah has an airtight alibi for any lapses — Charlotte, her 23-month-old daughter with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.! "I still liken any confusion to 'mom-nesia' — which I think you can use until your child goes to college!" she jokes.
No argument here — or on the set of The CW show, which the former Buffy star says is very accommodating to her being a working mom. "Juggling work and family is one of the hardest things, but I truly believe if I want to teach my daughter to do anything and follow her dreams, I have to do both," she says. "Everyone on the show has been incredibly respectful and they've made it incredibly family-friendly. It's not just me [co-star]; Ioan Gruffud has a daughter who's ten days older than my daughter — and we've really made an environment where we're not separated and the kids can play together and be a part of it and we're not missing that."
And how does Charlotte like being on-set? Says Sarah, "She's excited for the hair and makeup trailer!"
Ringer premieres Tuesday, September 13, at 9 pm. E.T. on The CW.
