It’s been weeks since Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea, turned 18 and left her childhood home to live with her birth mother.
She has since allegedly moved in with Steve Sheerer — the convicted heroin dealer, 25, she met on Tinder. But now a new source is coming forward and detailing to Radar Online just how miserable the teen reportedly was with the 53-year-old talk show host — alleging she even contemplated suicide as a child.

“When Chelsea wasn’t shipped off to boarding schools by Rosie, the two fought bitterly and Chelsea was so unhappy she even contemplated taking her own life,” the source claims.
“Fortunately, she made it to her 18th birthday when she was legally free to walk out.”

Just weeks before she became a legal adult, Chelsea was reported missing by the former host of The View and was found hiding out in Sheerer’s attic.
Since she was 17 at the time, Sheerer was charged with endangering a child.

When she was missing, Rosie said that her daughter, who lives with a mental illness, was in need of medication and was suspected to have run away from home.
But now the source paints a very different scenario.
“Rosie humiliated Chelsea. She wanted to be seen as the caring mom — but what actually happened was Rosie and Chelsea got into a fight and Rosie told her to ‘get the f--k out and take her dog too,’” the source claims.
“The poor kid never felt love by Rosie.”

While living with a convicted drug offender doesn’t sound like an ideal situation — the source believes it’s better than the life the teenager once lived.
“Some might think Chelsea is worse off now, living with a guy who was arrested for heroin dealing and child endangerment and who served time,” the source says.
“But for the first time in her life, she finally feels loved.”
