Rosie O'Donnell's father, Edward Joseph O'Donnell, has died aged 81 after a battle with cancer.
The former View host didn't have the best relationship with her electrical engineer father, saying he did some "unforgivable" things while she and her siblings were children after their mother died from breast cancer in 1973.
However, the 53-year-old comedienne told Piers Morgan in 2012 that she had "reframed" the things that had happened and loved her dad no matter what.

"He had his own issues and demons, he had a very tough childhood, he had an alcoholic, abusive father and never really got the help that I think every person needs when they have lived through that as a child," she said. "I think that he had a lot of problems to deal with.
"You get to be 50 years old you can't still be angry at what your father did in 1970," she added. "You have to work it out for yourself and find a place for it in your life and not rehash it forever."

It's not clear whether or not Rosie was in contact with her father at the time of his death.
It's been an awful week for Rosie. On Tuesday her 17-year-old daughter Chelsea was reported missing only to be found hiding out in a house in New Jersey with a 25-year-old convicted drug offender.
