Miley Cyrus will have to find somebody else to twerk on.
Even though her raunchy VMA performance helped make them both bigger stars, singer Robin Thicke says he has no plans to work with the 20-year-old former Hannah Montana star again.
"No no no," he said when British talk show host Alan Carr asked whether he'd ever collaborate with the "We Can't Stop" singer in the future. "No no, definitely no, definitely not." Ouch!
This isn't the first time that the "Blurred Lines" singer trash-talked Miley. During an appearance on Oprah's Next Chapter, Robin complained that her over-the-top performance, which included twerking and grinding against a foam finger, took away from his singing. "People ask me, ‘Do you twerk?’ and I’m like, ‘Listen, I’m the twerkee, I’m twerked upon. I don’t twerk myself. I’m just twerked upon," he said.
Later, he admitted that the post-VMAs buzz gave his career a big boost: "Everbody knows who I am now because I let Miley Cyrus twerk in front of me on the MTV awards."
Both Miley and Robin were in Amsterdam this weekend to perform--separately, of course--at the MTV European Music Awards. While in the Dutch capital, Miley hit up multiple "coffee shops," which sell legal marijuana, with DJ Afrojack and later with British supermodel Cara Delevingne.
