After eight years of marriage, Robin Thicke and Paula Patton have decided to call it quits.
In a joint statement to In Touch Weekly, Robin's rep said, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
The couple have been together for 20 years - since they first met as teenagers - and tied the knot in 2005. In April 2010, they welcome their first child, son Julien Fuego.
Between the success of his song “Blurred Lines” and his scandalous performance with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 Video Music Awards in August, their relationship has come under intense scrutiny, though they always denied any trouble in their relationship while being honest that it wasn't without its flaws.
“If you don’t fight, you don’t care. If you’re not fighting for the relationship, you need to move on,” he told Elle in October. “A lot of times, a fight is because you didn’t like the way the other person responded.
"You didn’t have time to help them properly. There are so many little things you can fight about when you’re in love.”
Robin and Paula were last seen publicly together on Jan. 26 at the Grammy Awards, where he was nominated for two awards.
Less than two weeks ago, on Valentine’s Day, she shared a picture of a robe for a man and a child, and gushed, “I love my boys!”
