Nearly 10 years ago, actor Brendan Fraser was literally everywhere. From his successful blockbuster movies like The Mummy and George of the Jungle, paired with his goofy and attractive charm, he was pretty much like a ’90s Chris Pratt. Which is why it was surprising when he suddenly disappeared from movies in 2010, prompting fans to wonder whatever happened to him.

After the third sequel of The Mummy tanked in 2008, Brendan’s career was on life support. After that, he stopped appearing in major blockbusters, igniting fans to create funny subreddits and petitions to “bring him back” to movies. So what exactly was he up to for the past decade? Watch the video below to see what happened to him.

Although things are doing better for him these days, he ran into some financial problems in 2013 when he petitioned the court to reduce his $900,000 annual child support fees since he could no longer pay them anymore. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, at the time, Brendan made $205,000 a month and paid $50,000 a month to his ex-wife. After paying a chunk of professional expenses ($5,200 for gardening, $3,000 on staff) he only had $92,000 left each month.

Although the 48-year-old has been the butt of many Internet jokes over the years, with fans poking fun at the actor for being “washed up” and not as prevalent in Hollywood as he used to be, uh, $92,000 a month is not exactly chump change. We wish we had that kind of money just laying around. Although his career is not as big as it used to be, he’s far from being the next MC Hammer.

In the end, it looks like Brendan might be the one who gets the last laugh.
