After a fun-filled day of shopping in Los Angeles on Sept. 5, pals Taylor Swift, 23, and Hailee Steinfeld, 16, were turned away from Gjelina restaurant, in Venice, Calif., because the restaurant was completely packed and they didn't have a reservation!
But a restaurant manager at the LA hotspot tells In Touch they are welcome back any time!
"We had no idea that they were turned away from Gjelina,” the manager told In Touch. “Everyone has been talking about it this morning but we were not aware that they had tried to eat here last night or that they were actually turned away.”
Taylor's rep has yet to comment on the restaurant drama, and Tay has already hit the road with her "Red Tour," with a performance in Saint Paul, MN on Sep 7.
This isn't the first time a celeb has been turned down by the hot spot eatery -- which is famous for its pricey salads, and specialized pizzas.
Gordon Ramsay was left speechless when a waiter wouldn't accommodate an eight-months pregnant Victoria Beckham's special order on May 31, 2011.
But the manager would like the set the record straight and make sure the starlets know the restaurant “would gladly welcome them back any time.”
“All people are welcome at Gjelina, all the time, period,” the manger told In Touch. “Taylor and Haliee are welcome here and we would be more happy to serve them."
