Bust out the ugly sweaters and eggnog!

The Kardashians released their official Christmas card for this year, which only means one thing: It’s officially the holiday season!

The royal family of reality TV truly outdid themselves this year, with a high-fashion photo shoot with famed celebrity photographer, David LaChapelle; on Sunday, Dec. 1, E! aired the special Keeping Up With the Kardashians: a Very Merry Christmas, which offered fans insight into the creative process behind the futuristic photo shoot.

The photo features Kris, Kim, Khloé, Kourtney—and her two children, Mason and Penelope, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Kardashian-Jenner patriarch, Bruce, in a luxurious, post-apocalyptic shot that’s noticeably missing Kim’s daughter North and fiancé Kanye, Lamar Odom, Scott Disick and even Rob Kardashian!

However, it was revealed that the decision to only feature the women came from LaChappelle, with Kanye on tour, Bruce living out of the house, Khloé's marrital problems and Rob's personal issues—but Bruce wasn’t exactly on board with that decision.

“It’s not the girls’ Christmas card, it’s our family Christmas card,” he frustratingly told Kendall. “We’ve done it for 23 years and they want to change it? It’s your mom’s and my Christmas card.”

Bruce ultimately expressed this to Kris, who assured everyone that “the last thing [she] wants to do is hurt anyone’s feelings,” and made sure he was in the shot.

The 64-year-old former athlete explained that the Christmas card isn’t the only tradition he’s maintaining this holiday season! On the holiday special, he explained that despite his separation from Kris, he will still spend the holiday with Kris.

“Nothing has changed. We’re still family,” Bruce told the cameras. “The relationship has changed and this and that—it doesn’t make any difference.”

Despite all the drama that ensued—LaChappelle was also disappointed with Kim’s hair and didn’t want Kourtney’s children featured, among other issues—we think Kim and Kourtney put it best when they called the whole thing “an experience.”

Although, sometimes glamour takes a little work! And we have to admit, the card looks fabulous! What do you think? Sound off in the comments!
