The family of late Instagram model/fitness blogger Rebecca Burger is urging her fans to become knowledgable about the dangers of a faulty whipped cream cannister after a whipped cream can exploded and fatally hit her in the chest.

The French blogger’s family announced her death on Facebook, writing, “It is with great sadness we announce the death of Rebecca who died June 18 in an accident in the home.”

According to her family, the can exploded and struck her in a chest, causing her to have a heart attack; though firefighters were initally able to revive her, she passed away in the hospital a day after the accident.

The type of whipped cream can that is allegedly responsible for her death was recalled by the company who made it back in 2013, many are still on the market. In a post on her Instagram, her family showed the cannister that was at fault and urged others to be on the lookout for similar devices in order to protect themselves.

“Here is an example of a siphon that exploded and crashed into Rebecca’s chest,” her loved ones wrote on Instagram, according to a translation by The Independent. “The siphon which caused her death was sealed. Don’t use this product in your homes! Tens of thousands of the faulty devices are already in circulation.”

According to USA Today, two other people in France have been injured as a result of the faulty cans, but Rebecca’s is the first death reported.

A local French magazine that employed Rebecca as a model memorialized the beautiful model on Instagram.

“We are sorry to announce the sad news of losing this beautiful soul. Our French athlete Rebecca Burger passed away,” the account wrote. “Rebecca was not only a great fitness figure but a generous and kind person to work with. Please pray for her soul to rest in peace and for her family to stay strong. We will always be proud of you Rebecca.”
