7 Insane Things That Happen When You Audition for a Reality TV Show

Any lover of shows like The Bachelor and Big Brother has probably had a moment where they stopped and thought, "Maybe I should audition to be on reality TV?" After all, how hard could it be? All you have to do is be attractive, outrageous, and be willing to do absolutely anything for the cameras. It also helps to have a sob story or two. If successful, you can leverage your D-list celebrity status into different avenues and maybe even appear in other reality TV shows. A win/win, are we right?

But surprisingly, getting on TV is harder than you might think. Before you fly out to a deserted island for Survivor or sing for Adam Levine on The Voice, you have to go through rounds and rounds of auditions. This process is shrouded in secrecy thanks to nondisclosure agreements producers force contestants to sign, but every now and then, auditioners who never make it past the cut spill the beans on what really goes down during the auditioning process — and they're a little weird.
