File this under: “Another reason you probably don’t want your kid to go into showbiz!”
Everyone’s favorite always-outspoken-former-child-star Raven-Symoné recently opened up about what it was like to grow up in Hollywood — and confessed she was fat-shamed as a little kid!

“I had issues at 7,” the 29-year-old — who got her start on TV on The Cosby Show when she was only four-years-old — told her cohosts on The View.
“It was definitely hard. I remember not being able to have a bagel or anything. We call [craft services] ‘crafty,’ where it’s just a table of food ready for you to eat whatever you want, and I remember people were like, ‘You can’t eat that, you’re getting fat.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m 7. I’m hungry.’”

She says she continued to be fat-shamed up until she weighed 180 pounds during her stint on Disney Channel with That’s So Raven.
In 2011, she took a break from acting — and dropped nearly 70 pounds. She has since said her transformation was partially inspired by her critics.

“I lost weight to keep them people from talking to me,” she told Oprah earlier this year.
“I got tired and irritated. I was proud at the time. I was. And I am. I love my thicky, thicky self. But now that I lost weight, it's like, 'OK, wait, let me go back in the gym and get it together.'"

This isn’t the first time Raven has admitted that the industry has led her to struggle with body image.
Earlier this year, she confessed that while on That’s So Raven she used to tan “three times a week” in order to maintain a darker complexion.
