After years of whispers and rumors, 27-year-old actress Raven-Symonè has quietly come out of the closet. The That's So Raven star didn't choose a TV show or magazine cover for her announcement though - she acknowledged her sexual identity via a tweet in support of gay marriage.

After her tweet, Raven issued a statement to CNN clarifying what she meant. "I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to."

Raven has been romantically linked to former America's Next Top Model contestant AzMarie Livingston, but the Cosby Show actress has kept the details of her love life private. After the National Enquirer claimed that the two women were living together, Raven took to - where else? - Twitter to respond.

"My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm datings to know," she wrote. "I'm not one for a public display of my life, however that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I'm not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life."

So, does this mean we shouldn't expect a wedding?
