Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Beyoncé, the Queen of Everything, have joined forces.
The British monarch and the “Single Ladies” singer are teaming up by asking fans to donate to The Prince’s Trust—a charity that supports youth-focused charities—as part of her #BeyGood campaign, an initiative created by the 32-year-old to encourage her fans to give back.
“As a young girl, I was blessed to have the support of my family who encouraged me to reach for my goals,” Bey, who is also a Prince’s Trust Ambassador, said. “So many young people don’t have this. I am honored to partner the #BeyGood campaign with the Prince’s Trust to help young people beat the odds and create better lives for themselves.”
As someone who stresses the importance of a solid support system during childhood and adolescents, the Prince’s Trust found that Bey was the ideal candidate.
“Beyoncé understands that, every day in the UK, young people are facing not only unemployment but also the devastating effects of homelessness, addiction, poverty, bullying and poor mental health,” Martina Milburn, the chief executive of the organization, said.
Plus, in this instance, doing good will seriously pay off!
Those who donate will be given an official sticker at Beyoncé’s concert during the European leg of her Mrs. Carter World Tour will be eligible to win a randomly assigned seat upgrade to the VIP section.
Fans in the UK can get involved with the initiative by donating £3 online or by texting BEYGOOD to 70660.
