Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell has a lot on her mind. The pregnant star is due to give birth to a little girl any day now — and she recently took the opportunity to open up about her everyday battle with depression and anxiety.
Earlier today, in a post on Instagram, she shared a picture that read, “Depression is when you don’t really care about anything; anxiety is when you care too much about everything; and having both is just like hell.”
She added the caption, “#true I suffer with both… does feel like hell…”

In August, the 22-year-old opened up to ‘In Touch Weekly’ about her struggle.
“I didn’t want to live another day,” she told the mag. “I started having severe panic and anxiety attacks in the middle of the night, which led me into a deep depression. I couldn’t stop crying. I felt I’d be better off dead. I needed help.”
Eventually, she did get the help she needed — thanks to her fiancé Tyler Baltierra, who called a psychiatrist after one of her breakdowns.

“Tyler has battled depression and knows what it looks like, so he made my first appointment,” she said.
The doctor prescribed antidepressants Zoloft and Abilify and recommended the reality star meet with a counselor. Though she’s off some of her medications while pregnant, it’s been a year since Catelynn first sought help — and she feels like she’s finally herself again.
“I’ve been taking my meds and talking to someone regularly, and it’s gotten easier,” Cate said.
