Two people have died and one left seriously injured after a small plane crashed on the set of Tom Cruise's latest film.
The tragedy happened in the Colombian Andes on Friday during the shooting of the film Mena. Tom, 53, was not on the aircraft at the time.
According to Variety, the two killed in the accident have been confirmed as American pilot Alan David Purwin, 53, and Colombian Carlos Berl. Jimmy Lee Garind, another American pilot was left with serious injuries and is now being treated in a hospital in Medellin.

Alan, who was the president of Los Angeles-based Helinet Technologies, had previously worked on films including Pirates of the Caribbean and Pearl Harbor.
According to local authorities, bad weather is believed to be the cause of the crash.
“An aircraft carrying crew members crashed while returning to Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport in Medellin following production wrap on the film Mena resulting in two fatalities,” said a Universal spokesperson in a statement.
“Further details are not available at this time. On behalf of the production, our hearts and prayers go out to the crew members and their families at this difficult time.”
