Once again, Pharrell Williams was upstaged during an awards show—but at least this time, it wasn’t by his own hat!
While we’re happy to report that the 40-year-old’s Arby’s-inspired hat did make an impressive comeback at the Academy Awards, it wasn’t his fashion accessory that stole the show during his performance of “Happy” at the Oscars!
It was the evening’s nominees, Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o and Meryl Streep!
“Happy” was recorded for Despicable Me 2 and was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars. Although it ultimately lost to Frozen’s “Let It Go”, we like to think that Pharrell is the real winner—since he got Meryl freakin’ Streep to shimmy for him!
Plus, this proves one thing: No one—and we mean no one—can resist movin’ and groovin’ when Pharrell’s music comes on!
