Umm, we’ll file this one under #FirstWorldProblems.
According to a new report, people are returning the iconic Hermès Birkin bag — after paying $20,000 or more on it — because they apparently smell like marijuana. Disgruntled customers have reportedly been told the smell is a result of a “badly tanned” batch of leather from a supplier to the luxury manufacturer .
Apparently, the smell becomes apparent when the leather heats up in heightened temperatures, such as when left in a hot car or being exposed to direct sunlight when it's on your arm for example.

“Owners are returning the Hermès bags back to boutiques across the US, including the Madison Avenue store, saying they smell of skunk,” a source tells Page Six. “The bags are being sent back to Paris, as nobody knows quite how to deal with his embarrassing situation.”
Fortunately, not all Hermès are affected… It’s believed that the crocodile skin Birkin — which retails for $60,000 — is unaffected by this stinky mishap… Thank god!
