Two weeks after Patricia Arquette made a powerful acceptance speech about equality at the Oscars that had Meryl freakin’ Streep cheering, the 'Boyhood' actress is making headlines again.
In another bold act, the 46-year-old is opening up about why she never fixed her teeth — despite people urging her to!
She told her parents she didn’t want to straighten out her smile because, in her words, “it didn’t feel like it would fit who I was inside.” Then, when she was only in ninth grade, a male classmate suggested she fix her teeth so she could pose for ‘Playboy.’
“I said, ‘Why would I want to be in ‘Playboy?’” Patricia recalls to ‘People.’ “I just didn’t want to look perfect. I didn’t want to have to change myself to be attractive. I didn’t think that was my responsibility.”
