In new court documents obtained by In Touch, Jim Carrey‘s lawyers allege that his ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White — whose family is suing the actor for wrongful death following her suicide two years ago — faked STD test results in an effort to prove she didn’t have herpes before dating him. The lawsuit against Jim alleges the brunette became suicidal after contracting the STD from the 55-year-old.

“Cat took her friend’s records from Planned Parenthood, doctored them, and changed them to look like her own to extort Jim for money,” a source tells In Touch. “Cat’s ex-husband and mother are now using these false records as the core of their lawsuit against Jim.” In the documents, the friend — who’s referred to as “Jane Doe” — admits she gave Cathriona a copy of her blood tests, which came back negative for STDs.

When asked about the new claims, Cathriona’s family’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, told In Touch, “Carrey’s claims are complete nonsense. We look forward to placing him under oath next week.”

As In Touch previously reported, Jim’s attorney, Raymond Boucher, filed court papers in September claiming that the 2016 wrongful death lawsuit filed against Jim by Cathriona’s estranged husband, Mark Burton — whom she was still married to at the time of her death, though they were going through a divorce — and her mother, Brigid Sweetman, was part of a continuing extortion attempt.

But Avenatti told In Touch at the time, “[The claims] are a crock of s–t. He’s just trying to deceive the public.” The attorney tried to disprove Jim’s claims just hours after the actor filed the legal papers by releasing a note that Cathriona wrote to Jim in 2013. The note reads, “You introduced me to cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse, and disease. You did good things for me but being with you broke me down as a person, Jim.”

Jim’s attorney Boucher told In Touch exclusively that the note was just a plot from Cathriona as part of the extortion scheme. “This case is about a troubled woman who for years flirted with suicide and her incapacity to deal with perceived rejection,” he said.
