Let’s talk about Jennifer Lawrence’s acting chops for a quick second.
She’s a really, really good actress. Like, nominated-for-an-Oscar-three-out-of-four-years good. But is she good enough to convince the entire world she’s a relatable, easy-going klutz who’s just seriously passionate about eating and sharing her bathroom habits?
That’s what Academy Award winner Jared Leto suspects.
When asked about the 23-year-old’s fall at the 2014 Oscar red carpet, the Dallas Buyers Club actor revealed his true feelings.
“You know, I’m starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act,” he explained on Access Hollywood.
Well, you can’t exactly blame him! In fact, even Jen knew this was bound to happen.
“I hope nobody took a picture,” she told Billy Bush on Oscars night. “I’m afraid it’s going to start looking like a gimmick.”
Jen called the 30 Seconds to Mars musician out when she went onstage to present the award for Best Actor—but he has since explained it wasn’t because he was buying into her klutzy hype.
“She said, ‘What are you laughing at?’ But what she didn’t know was that Ellen [DeGeneres] was on the side… Making miming [motions like], ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall!’ and my mom and brother are all cracking up,” Jared revealed. “I guess we don’t have the manners. You can take them out of Louisiana, but you can’t take the Louisiana out of them, right?”
Sounds like they’re just being true to themselves—which is more than Jared can say for Jen!
