Who’s that girl?!

Francesca Curran, who plays “Skinhead Helen” in Orange Is the New Black, looks absolutely nothing like her character in real life.

Just a few months ago, the 24-year-old Netflix star took to Instagram to share a side-by-side collage of herself as the bald, tatted-up inmate paired next to a photo of herself rocking blonde curls and a full face of makeup.

“Never, ever be afraid to tell a friend about the miracles of under eye concealer,’ the Minnesota native captioned the post. “#MyTransformation #SkinheadHelen #OrangeIsTheNewBlack #OITNB”

During a recent interview with Business Insider, published on June 8, Francesca opened up about her character’s intimidating image and how it differs from her own “girly” aesthetic.

“In real life, I’m so feminine. I’m so girly. I love my makeup, I love my jewelry and all that,” she told the outlet. “So to really be stripped of all that — the first time I was like, ‘OK, wow.’ I found myself in the mirror and was like, this is a striking. What a difference.”

The actress also explained that the many false tattoos she sports to play Helen — which include “100%” across her neck, stars on her scalp, and the number 311 on her hand —forces her to spend way more time in the makeup chair than any of her OITNB costars.

“I’d come in, in the morning, and I was always the first person in and the last person out of the makeup chair,” Francesca, who actually shaved her head for the role, said. “I would see the whole cast come and go.”

She added, “I have usually three people working on my tattoos at one given time. So, they get it done, in I’d say, about an hour.”

Orange Is the New Black Season 5 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
