Talks 'I Think You
Might Like It'
Christmas Duet with
Grease alums Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta recently teamed up for a holiday duet (and music video) that’s getting a LOT of buzz.
So now, straight from “Sandy” herself, see what Olivia is saying about their collaboration on “I Think You Might Like It,” which became one of the most-watched videos of the year!
Whose idea was it to reunite?
“It was John's idea- I sent him a text last Christmas to say Merry Christmas and tell him that 'You're the One That I Want’ had been named the most successful duet in history! That text inspired him to text back to me "let's do a Christmas song together."
Who had the vision for the video?
“I suggested we do a video and John agreed... and we funded it ourselves. We followed the story of the lyrics - like watching 'It's a Wonderful Life" and of course we did a "tip of the hat" to Grease."
What was one of most fun behind-the-scenes moments?
“I had lots of fun driving John's 50's car - I only stalled it a few times! We had a blast dancing, too… that was all very spontaneous!”
What do you want to say to anyone who criticized the video?
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as I know that the intention behind the CD and the video is pure - to raise funds for our charities."
Since there’s been so much hype around the video, will you do another?
"The window is too short to shoot another this year… but maybe next year!"
