It took impending motherhood to wake Nicole Richie up to the dangers of living a reckless lifestyle. "I would really want to be someone my child would look up to," Nicole told Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America today.
The almost four-months-pregnant Simple Life star, who was sentenced to four days behind bar for her December 11 DUI arrest, went on to say how watching pictures on TV of children killed by drivers under the influence was a sobering moment for both her and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte front man, Joel Madden. "That was our first real parent moment," concurred Joel, who sat in on the interview. Nicole was so affected by the images that she decided last Friday to change her plea to guilty.
As for her upcoming sentence, she says she is "afraid of the unknown," but realizes the importance of doing her time. "This is my way of being an adult."
