The 30-year-old says she had an "epiphany" while touring in Australia last year and started to think about children.
"For the first time I allowed myself to be proud of where my music had gotten me, and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude," she admits. "You feel the need to pay it forward, which starts with analyzing yourself with a true desire to grow."
"I was praying every day, 'You know what, Lord? I want to be a mom one day, and I want to start becoming the woman who I want to parent my child.' I wanted all of the feelings of entitlement to leave me, because some people have this life for a year or five or 10 – and a lot of them lose it."
Based on the kind of judge that she was on American Idol, we think Nicki would be a good but tough mom to her kids. She'd encourage them, but wouldn't let them get out of line.
But we wouldn't like to be a mom who crossed her on the playground or cut in front of her in the drop-off zone outside the school – cause then she'd be all wild-eyed and scary like she was with Mariah Carey!
Tell us, do you think Nicki would be a good mom?
