Life has been so nasty and so rude to NeNe Leakes lately. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 49, has found herself embroiled in controversy over the past several weeks. And while we’re inclined to feel sorry for Miss Leakes, we can’t deny the fact that she is 100 percent responsible for the current mess she’s in. Here, In Touch rounded up the string of events that have made this the worst month ever for RHOA’s fallen queen.

NeNe and longtime nemesis Kim Zolciak had made up after years of feuding. However, NeNe ruined all that when she viciously attacked the Don’t Be Tardy star’s daughter Brielle Biermann via social media on Oct. 5. The former Glee actress went in on the 20-year-old for recording a Snapchat video of roaches crawling on the floor of her bathroom. She even labeled Brielle “racist trash” in a heated Instagram rant.
“We don’t have roaches! If you found 1, u brought it with u or it fell outta yo funky p---y! Please know I will get You all the way together when you start f–king wit me and mine!” NeNe fumed. “Go somewhere and let the air outta those fake lips, fake titties and fake a-- because you will never be @kylejenner [sic] Yo trashy mama should have taught you better! My home is Brand New but you guys were so jealous of it, you couldn’t even give a compliment.”
She added, “You had to stoop so low and be so disgusting #racisttrash #jealous #KKK #thirsty you better run yo a-- back to a child’s place #youwannaactgrown?”
Brielle’s mom, Kim, 39, came to her eldest child’s defense in a more eloquently worded Instagram post. “At this point I almost feel sad for you @neneleakes,” the “Google Me” songstress wrote. “I had hoped for many yrs you would have seen the bigger picture but it’s evident you haven’t, I will continue to pray for you.”
Like, no, not cool, Linnethia (that’s NeNe’s real name, just FYI). Days after dragging Brielle on Instagram, the Southern spitfire made some very, very offensive remarks during her stand-up comedy show at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA, on Oct. 7. During her act, NeNe joked about male Uber drivers raping female passengers. (Um, again, NO.)
When the audience began booing, the Bravolebrity decided to fire back at one woman in particular. “I ain’t even gonna tell you about the g--damn Uber driver. I hope he rape yo’ a-- tonight when he take you home, b---h,” NeNe spewed. “And steal yo’ funky hello kitty, b---h.”
Days later, she apologized in a statement on Instagram. “I truly regret and apologize for what I said from the stage in Oakland over the weekend. Sometimes words can cut deep and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so,” NeNe wrote. “As a woman and someone who has survived abuse, I regret the words that I used. I made a mistake and I should have known better. I hope people accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. I am sorry.”
NeNe was set to host RHOA co-star Kandi Burruss’ reunion tour with her girl group, XScsape. But, one day after the Celebrity Apprentice alum’s “rape” comments made headlines, the R&B quartet fired her. “Like many, we were dismayed by the recent remarks made by our talented colleague and friend NeNe Leakes,” the band wrote in a statement to TMZ. “As a result, we have decided to no longer proceed with her participation on our tour.”
On Oct. 13, NeNe revealed in an emotional livestream video on Instagram that she wasn’t holding up so well after receiving major backlash for her comedy show scandal. “A lot of people know me as NeNe who’s laughing and talking,” she tearfully said, according to E! News. “A lot of people don’t know me as NeNe who, you know, would have a breakdown — a moment.”
We truly hope this is not the cherry on top of NeNe’s disaster sundae. According to a report from Radar Online published on Oct. 17, Bravo is considering giving the mom-of-two the boot in the wake of her disappointing behavior. A source told the outlet that cast members such as Kim, Sheree Whitfield, and Porsha Williams, are refusing to film with NeNe, who had returned to the show full-time after a two-season hiatus. "They are currently talking about firing her,” said the insider.
However, a source close to production tells In Touch that Radar's report "couldn't be further from the truth," and that NeNe is not in danger of losing her peach. Of course, we're all about a redemption story — so we're keeping our fingers crossed that our girl can get it together and make us laugh again.
Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Bravo Sunday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. EST.
