October 29, 2014 will be a day My Five Wives star Karlie Jessop will never forget.
On that day, the oldest daughter of polygamist Brady Williams and his first of five wives, Paulie, became a mother to a premature baby boy named Jacob “Huck” Jessop.
Karlie gave birth to Huck at just 25 weeks. Having weighed only 2 pounds 1 ounce at birth, Huck is known as a “micro preemie baby.”
In a new post on the show’s official Facebook page today, the family share he’s slowly, but surely showing improvement following a Dec. 5 surgery to fix his intestinal problems:
In a new interview, Karlie opened up about the experience thus far, and says it’s important that other women in her shoes know they are not alone.
“For me that was the big thing, was having other moms reach out to me and sharing their stories,” she tells ‘Us Weekly.’ “It was really helpful so I just want to reach out in my own way to let other moms know they’re not alone in what they’re going through. And also just to say thank you to all of our fans for the tremendous amount of love and support and prayers we have received through them.”
