An arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing of Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines.
Authorities arrested and charged the late 33-year-old actress’s boyfriend Lamar Davenport, 30, with second-degree murder after she was found lying on the street outside her home in NYC’s Washington Heights neighborhood.

After suffering multiple stab wounds to her torso, E’Dena was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Lamar was reportedly taken into custody on the scene.
Multiple neighbors have told several outlets that Lamar was screaming about the devil and seemingly “performing an exorcism” before allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death.

“I heard him say something like, ‘Devil, be gone, Jesus and God,’” a man named George Hudacko tells CBS.
Another onlooker, Patrick Curry, witnessed the stabbing from his window and told reporters, “He was kneeling over her and screaming about ‘God has arisen.’ He was totally off the ranch.”
