Miley cyrus parents divorce

Miley Cyrus' Parents,

Cyrus, File For

Miley Cyrus' parents are calling it quits— after 19 years of marriage, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus have filed for divorce.

In a statement to In Touch, Tish writes, "This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

Tish is citing "irreconcilable differences." They have three biological children, Miley, 20, Braison, 19, and Noah, 13. Tish has two kids from a previous relationship, Brandi and Trace. Billy Ray adopted them when they were young children.

The news comes three years after he filed for divorce, but dropped it to try and work on their marriage.

"I dropped the divorce," Billy Ray said on The View. "I wanted to put my family back together."

Now, Tish is asking for full physical and legal custody of their only minor child, Noah, with visitation to Billy Ray. She's also asking for spousal support and for him to pay her attorney's fees.

It seems Miley tried reaching out to her father, but to no avail. She took to Twitter yesterday, writing, "@billyraycyrus since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"

After telling GQ that Hannah Montana (the Disney show he starred in with Miley) "ruined his family" around the time he filed for divorce in 2010, he clarified his statement.

"To set the record straight, I love Hannah Montana, I love Disney -- that didn't tear my family apart," he said. "Now fame -- fame is a different animal."
