They say practice makes perfect—and when it comes to giving birth, Michelle Duggar has a lot of practice!
On the Duggar Family Blog, the mother-of-19 was asked if giving birth gets easier with each child that she’s had—and while some may suspect it’s an easier task when a woman is younger, she revealed that it’s something that gets less difficult with experience.
“I don’t think you can call labor and delivery easy no matter how many times you have been through it,” the 19 Kids and Counting star revealed.
“Yes, experience helps a lot in working through the whole labor process but like I mentioned previously each labor is different and you just have to prepare yourself health-wise and in every other way to work toward the goal of having the healthiest delivery as possible on your part.
Four of her 17 deliveries (there are two sets of twins in the Duggar clan) have been C-sections, while the rest were delivered vaginally.

Michelle shared some tips for making childbirth as smooth as possible—but don’t worry, none of her advice involved having 18 more children!
“Good nutrition plays a big part in [having the healthiest delivery possible],” she said.
“Also, we’ve gone through Bradley childbirth classes and have regular OB checkups throughout pregnancy.”
