Aside from winning a record-breaking eight gold medals at the Olympics this year, Michael Phelps also authored a book in 2005 called Beneath the Surface. Selling just 10,000 copies, it was hardly a best seller, but the golden boy of swimming has just snagged another book deal with a reported $1 million advance. Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, has signed Michael up to pen Built to Succeed, which will describe the Olympian's philosophy on training and competition along with his back story of growing up with a single mom as well as a attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The book should come out in December, just in time to make a perfect stocking stuffer!
