Joan Rivers is still on life support, her daughter Melissa has revealed in a statement about her mother’s health.
“On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. At this time she does remain on life support,” the younger Rivers said in a statement, released today.
“I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
As it’s been previously reported, the 81-year-old comedienne has remained in a NYC hospital since she stopped breathing during a throat surgery on Aug. 28.
Joan was then brought out of a medically induced coma on Sunday, as insiders close to the family previously explained the doctors expected to be able to “gauge her brain function” today, Tuesday Sept. 2.
