Another Hollywood marriage has ended!
Melanie Griffith has ended her 18-year marriage to fellow actor Antonio Banderas. The legal documents, which were filed by Melanie's lawyer, Laura Wasser, cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
The actress is asking for spousal support, as well as child support and sole physical and joint legal custody for the couple's daughter, Stella, who turns 18 in September.
TMZ, who broke the story, say sources connected to the couple claim there are no hard feelings and that everything is civil. However, the pair will face a bump in the road when splitting property, as they have places in both the U.S. and Spain.
This will be Melanie's fourth divorce and Antonio's second.
Back in 2012, the 53-year-old actor opened up about how they make their marriage work.
"The secret is that we had failures before," he told AARP the magazine. "And love at the beginning is a rush. It's big, full of energy, beautiful. But it doesn't last like that. Melanie and I talked about that a lot."
Melanie, 56, added, "We're willing to change with each other, let old things die and new things be born. But it's a constant endeavor."
Looks like changing with each other has run its course.
