According to TMZ, the actor—best known for playing Dr. Greg Pratt on ER and starring opposite Eminem in 8 Mile—spends approximately $11,600 monthly, while he only brings in $7,500 per month.
Additionally, he allegedly owes $1.2 million in back taxes, $50,000 in lawyer fees and $4,500 in back child support.

Mekhi filed for bankruptcy in May 2014 after falling in debt up to $1.3 million. He allegedly fell behind on child support payments, in addition to taxes and lawyer fees.
