Lindsay Lohan announcing a Mean Girls reunion on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was just the beginning.
“When I was backstage I saw Tina and she mentioned maybe doing some kind of reunion,” Lohan, 27, told Fallon Thursday night. “She said she was talking to Lorne [Michaels] about it, so she’s talking to the big boss.”
As April 30th will be the 10th anniversary of the film’s release, sources tell TMZ that co-writer Tina Fey is rallying up the cast to commemorate the occasion.
And those on board so far are Lohan (Cady Heron), Amy Poehler (Regina George’s mom), Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels), Rajiv Surendra (Kevin G) and Daniel Franzese (Damian).
Lindsay Lohan hung out with her co-stars in NYC in February.
That means all that is really needed is Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert. So basically the rest of the main cast that made the movie so "grool!"
The cast have already been hanging out together - making us even more excited! On Saturday, Daniel and Rajiv hung out with Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift during the SNL after-party in NYC.
Lohan joined co-stars Daniel and Rajiv last month in NYC and captioned the photo, “#youcantsitwithus #soquiche #klangkarussell #KevinG 🌟🙈👍.”
How the reunion will happen is still not confirmed. Sources say it can come as a comedy sketch during a live show or even during an awards show—possibly the MTV Movie Awards on April 13.
