McKayla Maroney’s lawyers are not impressed.
The gymnast was one of many stars whose personal nude photos were hacked and republished without her permission and now her lawyers are taking action, as they reveal the gold medalist—who turned 18 last December—was underage when the controversial photos were taken.
Meaning the pictures in question potentially qualify as child pornography.

While McKayla initially denied allegations that the photos in question were her, it would appear the confirmation came to light when the gymnast’s lawyer issued a cease and desist to Porn.com, explaining she was underage and demanding the photos be taken down immediately.
A rep for Porn.com tells TMZ they removed the pictures as soon as they got the request.
And they weren’t alone. Moderators of reddit—which is powered by user-generated content—also removed the controversial and potentially illegal images of not only McKayla, but also MTV star Liz Lee.
While Liz’s photos were not confiscated with the recent hack, her photos from 2007—taken when she was just 16—resurfaced and served as a reminder as the legal ramifications of sharing naked photos of minors, as her ex who distributed the pics is a registered sex offender.
TMZ broke the news of the cease and desist letter to Porn.com.
