It's been two weeks since Little People, Big World star Audrey Roloff gave birth and welcomed her first child — a baby girl named Ember Jean — with her husband, Jeremy Roloff, and fans are dying for photos and more info about their daughter. But not to fret, because Jer's dad Matt Roloff took to Facebook over the weekend to give fans an update on little Ember, and he even revealed the sweet surprise gift that he made for his new granddaughter.
The 55-year-old shared a photo of himself standing next to an adorable wooden cut-out of a stork, holding a pink ribbon in its beak, with the name "Ember" hand-painted on it — and it seems like the grandpa made the sign all by himself. "Sneaking out in the middle of the night to make sure Ember Jean had her own personal Welcome home sign.... grandpa Roloff style," he wrote in the caption.
Just before he shared the photo, Matt posted a message to his fans and explained why Auj and Jer haven't been sharing photos or updates about Ember in the weeks since her birth. "Miss Ember Jean...the most perfect package life can deliver," he wrote. "She's a bit shy now as mom and dad get her settled into her normal daily routine but you all are going love the result. This little baby is a big-time star, just wait and see."
Jeremy and Audrey haven't posted much since they announced their little girl's birth on Instagram earlier this month, but he hinted that he and his wife would take a break from social media in order to settle into their new roles as mom and dad. "So much to say, but for now we're resting at home soaking In the present - honored that we've been entrusted with this little life," he wrote in the caption.
